Bio
A Southern California native, Alaniz has been performing since she was 12 years-old. Her first love-affair was with a Remo drumset. She graduated to a Yamaha guitar at age 15. The self-taught musician cut her first album during the disco era of the early 90's. She has performed all over L.A., from Circus, to the Cat Club to the Knitting Factory, and everywhere in between. Although she has taken the last two years off from performing to raise a family, songs from her 2005 CD continue to reach the Top 50 on independent internet music stations; three have reached the Top 20 in the past two years. Alaniz is thrilled to take part in her first Indie Festival south of the border!
